Dehradun, Nov 23 (PTI) Brushing aside the Opposition's claim that financial condition in the state is deteriorating, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank today asserted the "economy is right on the track" and said all the development works are going on.
The economy of the state is right on the track and the state is capable of overcoming any situation by increasing its own resources, Nishank told reporters here.
Moreover, Uttarakhand is a special category state which gets 90 per cent of central assistance as grant and 10 per cent as loan, he added.
The opposition parties as well as former chief minister B C Khanduri said that the economic condition in the state has deteriorated after the implementation of recommendations of sixth pay commission.
Nishank said the non-plan expenditure of the state has increased by 62.
