Uttaranchal NIT to begin session next year

Dehradun: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) would start its first academic session from the next year in Uttarakhand, officials have confirmed.

A total of 180 students will be admitted in the first batch, out which 50 pc seats are reserved for Uttarakhand students.

The NIT is coming up in the Sumari area of the state's Pauri district. However, classes in the new session would temporarily begin from the Government Polytechnic College in Srinagar.
